About the Blog

Growing up and living most of life in Northern California just a couple hours from Napa Valley I have been exposed to some of the finest wines made. My tastes have grown to appreciate wines of all types and different regions of the world. My favorite thing to do is experience wines from different regions when traveling on vacation.
I always thought most wine was the same everywhere you went, Chardonnay was a Chardonnay etc. But after moving to Florida I discovered that wines also have regional feel. People make wine from the grapes that will grow in their area. In Florida the standard American/French grapes will not grow. Muscadine is the king in Florida. A very unique tasting wine with a taste like no other.
I have always been interested in wine making and now I have some extra space in my yard and plan to plant a small vineyard (a few vines) and try my hand at wine making. This blog will follow my travels through my successes and failures at wine making
